Danny Ritchey is a photographer based out of North County San Diego. He shoots a diverse range of subjects from landscapes, action sports and wild life, always adhering to the principles of leave no trace.

I am a 20 year Navy Veteran. I joined the Navy in the early 80's and left Nebraska to see the world and that experience created a desire for adventure and travel. At the end of my Navy career, I started my photography journey documenting the people and places I discovered. Traveling to different locations from Coast to Coast with my family, friends and bags of photography equipment (much to the chagrin of TSA and car rental agents) has given me a chance to work on my artistic composition and develop my craft. Not knowing what you find from location to location makes a person flexible and adaptable, a trait that my Navy life helped develop.

Living in Southern California allows me to easily travel to some prime West Coast shooting locations, from Joshua Tree to Yosemite and even up to the Olympic National Park. I feel blessed with so many beautiful and inspiring locations to photograph and the ability to share them with you.
